The work "Summer Night Without Words" is a unique work in the history of music, a dialogue between the sheng and the string quartet. Rather than being an obscure atonal academic avant-garde work, it is better to say that it intentionally narrates in the form of a title and reveals dark and deep emotions - this is a love elegy dedicated to Shanghai, and the cover and inside pages also deliberately use classic photos from the "Suzhou River" series taken by Lu Yuanmin thirty years ago.

《孟夏夜之喠》这部作品，是音乐史上独一无二的一部笙与弦乐四重奏对话的作品，与其说这是一部晦涩的无调性学院派先锋之作，还不如说，它有意以标题的方式进行叙事，并袒露了幽暗深挚的情感——这是一部献给上海的爱的挽歌，而封面内页，也特意用了陆元敏摄于三十年前的《苏州河》系列的经典照片。
