"Something to go after" is a song released by WuTiaoRen in 2016. It is an affectionate and humorous expression of the fate of individuals under the dramatic changes of the reform and opening-up era. But this is not a creative exhibition or documentary exhibition about "WuTiaoRen", but an artist and his works that are contemporary with WuTiaoRen and have the same creative themes and echoes with them. The dream narrative of China's urban modernization development unfolds here, an era of acceleration, overload and vigor.
Before the high-speed rail, the bus was already an "outdated" means of transportation, but it once carried us from small places to the provincial capital; on the roads between urban and rural areas, the rearview mirror of the rainy day in the south reflects our past. The "rearview mirror" of "Return of the South" is also a metaphor of an era, reminding us - "go forward, look back."
